ABOUT
The Northeastern Women’s Lacrosse team is dedicated to excellence, success, and competition. Our strong bonds as teammates and friends extend beyond the field, fostering a spirit of unity and camaraderie as we proudly compete in Division 1 of the NEWLL conference. This past Spring ’24 season, we defeated top-seeded University of Florida to make it to the Finals of the WCLA National Championship in Wichita, KS, to be defeated in the finals by UCLA. We concluded the ’23-’24 season ranked second in the nation
In 2023, thanks to the generous contributions of Giving Day, we were so lucky to welcome Layne Woodruff as our new coach. A former NU lacrosse player and volunteer coach with valuable experience as a volunteer assistant at Dartmouth, she brings extensive knowledge of the game and our players to Husky lacrosse. Her hiring, thanks to the generous contributions from 2023’s giving day, has been transformative. we achieved an impeccable 4-0 record in the Fall and a 7-3 record in the Spring. Coach Woodruff’s impact has set the stage for our continued growth and success as we welcome new players each semester.
Go Huskies! We look forward to hearing from you.
