Northeastern Sailing is composed of about 35-40 dedicated and motivated student-athletes across all academic years and disciplines. ​We compete in both Fall and Spring seasons, sending sailors to anywhere from one to seven regattas a weekend, in locations from Maryland to Maine. Though most of our regattas are open events, we also have a competitive Women’s team that competes in many women’s only events, as well as the open ones. We practice Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday out of MIT’s Wood Sailing Pavilion The team has seen great success the past few years, most notably having qualified for the 2024 ICSA Open National Fleet Race Championship. This was the first time we have qualified in team history! As our team continues to grow and develop under the leadership of Coach Jonathan Farrar, we are climbing in rankings and proving to be a team to watch out for in NEISA and the ICSA.
